Since 2015, I am involved in developmental activities & serving as the Youth Ambassador of South Asian South Society (SAYS) Kabul, Afghanistan. In 2017, My Internship in UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme), Afghanistan created a strong passion for betterment of Environment locally and globally. As a Unep staff I have developed Training Package called Environmental Basic English 2017 version. One of my other initiatives in described as bellow: Title: Community-based Tree Plantation Campaign for Building Environmental Resilience in Afghanistan SDG #: SDG: 13 and SDG: 15 The general objective of my activism was to empower the young people of my community to make environment greener to combat climate change induced hazards through school-based practical actions of tree plantation. My plan was to build a nursery of non-fruit trees would be established in Allowdin Boys High School in a 50 square meter. I established School Environmental Committee (SEC), developed monthly action plan, fixed project space and fundraising, made monitoring plan to follow up the progress against plan and finalized quarterly capacity building regarding environment education. I managed the cost $200 for the project in which $80 came from students’ parents’ contribution. I also arranged a drawing competition themed Tree Plantation among the students to make them aware. I reached 250 youth through my event directly. As the campaign of mine published in the page of South Asian Youth Society (SAYS), a prestigious youth platform aiming in building peace and prosperity throughout the South Asia, registered in Bangladesh, so 94,172 followers of the Facebook page of SAYS irrespective of age, sex and ethnicity had become inspired seeing my activism. Thus, my activism relates in promoting awareness among youth in environmental issues and engaging them doing so.
