5th General Assembly
World Youth Parliament for Water

Making waves for youth
inclusive global development

March 22nd to 26th 2021

What is a WYPW General Assembly?

Every three years, young talented people from all over the world are gathered to work together, shaping, and sharing youth perspectives for a more sustainable future regarding water and sanitation. This is also an opportunity to renew the membership of the network, elect new representatives and develop an action plan for the following three years.

The past editions of the General Assembly were held during the World Water Forum and allowed for hundreds of youth from all over the world to expand their knowledge regarding water and sanitation, develop essential skills, expand their network and advocate for proper youth representation.

This year, the General Assembly, a Road to Dakar 2022 satellite event, will propose a new and innovative format that will maximize the potential impact of the event while ensuring the health and safety of all participants. The GA will present a bimodal program combining a first part online and a second part in person activities.

“Youth are directly affected by Water issues. It is essential that we have a say in how they are managed right now.”
